Description

ARP Standard Performance Rod Bolts

A Premium Grade 8740 alloy chrome molly steel is used to manufacture ARP High Performance connecting rod bolts.
This material is heat treated to provide a tensile strength in the 200,000 psi range, which is substantially stronger than stock OEM bolts. Cyclic testing has shown that ARP rod bolts are 5 times more reliable than stock OEM bolts.
These are a direct replacement for the stock bolts, although the con rod should be resized on the rod journal after being fitted with a set of these. Some applications may require modifications to the con rod.
